HIXON DANCE PRESENTS

Like the Hidden Tide

part of Global Water Dances Columbus

FEATURING KIDS CHOREOLAB
and
GWDC CHILDREN'S DANCE MAKERS

Join Hixon Dance on March 26, 2023 at Columbus Dance Theatre to experience their new work "Like the Hidden Tide." This exploration of the mythological symbol of water as a signifier of the subconscious takes as inspiration imagery from the Greek mythologies of Syrinx, Calypso, and Charybdis. Water is seen as deep, powerful, chaotic, and mysterious as well as a catalyst to transformation. The dance is accompanied by Erin Helgeson Torres on flute, and features original music by Columbus composers Jacob Reed and Michael Rene Torres.

The show will feature special guest performing groups Kids ChoreoLab and GWDC Children's Dance Makers. These elementary school aged dance makers will be sharing their new dances exploring the importance of clean accessible water. Don't miss their inspiring performance!
